A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T CITY
OF ANAHEIM EXTENDING THE TERM OF THAT ERTAIN
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES ENTE D IN-
TO ON JULY 6, 1965 BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND THE RALPH M. PARSONS COMPANY.
WHEREAS, a contract was entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the Ralph M. Parsons Company on the 6th
day of July, 1965, wherein the Ralph M. Parsons company agreed
to furnish to the City of Anaheim engineering services for the
design and installation of the central control and telemetering
system for the water transmission and distribution system
operated by the Utility Department of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, work in the study and design of said central
control and telemetering system has revealed that necessary
investigation of existing City facilities and time for evalua-
tion and approval of proposed design by the City Utility
Department warrants additional time for engineering and design
services; and
WHEREAS, it is now deemed necessary to extend the
time for the furnishing of such engineering services to
January 31, 1966, without the necessity of authorizing the
total expenditure for such services beyond the present esti-
mated maximum of $18,685.00; and
WHEREAS, such extension of time at no increase in the
present estimated maximum cost is acceptable to the Ralph M.
Parsons Company.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the time for the furnishing and
completion of said engineering services as set forth in that
certain agreement entered into between the City of Anaheim and
the Ralph M. Parsons Company on July 6, 1965, be and is here-
by extended to January 31, 1966, with no increase in the
estimated maximum cost for such services.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 21st day of December, 1965.
