1965-887WHEREAS, December 25, 1965 and January 1, 1966, being
holidays under Section 15.0 of Rule 15 of Personnel Rules and
Regulations as provided in Resolution 63R -910, as amended, both
fall on Saturday; and
WHEREAS, under Section 15.2 of said Rule 15, the
following Monday is specified as the day to be observed in lieu
of the designated holidays; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that
the observance of December 24th and December 31st, being the
Fridays prior to the designated holidays, in lieu of said holi-
days, would be in the best interest of the City and its employees.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Section 15.2 of
Rule 15 of Personnel Rules and Regulations, as provided in Resolu-
tion 63R -910, as amended, is amended and modified to read as
follows:
"Section 15.2 In the event that any of the above
holidays falls on an employee's scheduled day off,
the following scheduled work day shall be observed
in lieu of the holiday; provided, however, that in
the fiscal year 1965 -66, December 24, 1965 shall be
observed in lieu of December 25, 1965 which falls
on a Saturday, and December 31, 1965 shall be
observed in lieu of January 1, 1966 which falls on
a Saturday."
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 30th day of November, 1965.
