Priest ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Lisa Stipkovich Chairman Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 10:05 a.m. MINUTES: Approval of the minutes was deferred to the next regular meeting. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of 3,091,525.99, in accordance with the 1985 -86 Budget, were approved. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS: On motion by Agency Member Roth, seconded by Agency Member Bay, the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda: 1. 161/123: Approving the preliminary construction drawings and specifications for Anaheim Memorial Manor, for the development of Parcel ll(D) located at 261 East Center Street in the Redevelopment Project Alpha. End of Consent Calendar. MOTION CARRIED. REQUEST FOR CLOSED SESSION: Chairman Roth announced that a Closed Session would be held to confer with the City's Attorneys regarding: a. Pending litigation pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a), to wit: City of Anaheim vs. Nugent Enterprises /First Interstate Bank, Superior Court Case No. 40 99 70. Agency Member Roth moved to recess into Closed Session. Agency Member Kaywood seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (10:05 a.m.) AFTER RECESS: Chairman Roth called the meeting to order, all Agency Members being present. (10:27 a.m.) 161/112: CITY OF ANAHEIM VS. NUGENT ENTERPRISES /FIRST INTERSTATE BANK: Agency Member Roth moved to authorize the law firm of Oliver Stoever & Laskin, Special Counsel, to make settlement of Supervisor Court Case No. 40- 99 -70, in the amount of $3,250,000, including but not limited to just compensation for acquisition of real estate, improvements pertaining to the realty (fixtures & equipment), loss of business good will and accrued interest, and to prepare and file a Final Order of Condemnation, subject to confirmation of the leasehold agreement. Agency Member Bay seconded the motion.
