Chairman Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency
to order at 10:05 a.m.
MINUTES: Agency Member Roth moved to approve the minutes of the regular
meetings held August 19 and 26, 1986. Agency Member Bay seconded the motion.
Agency Member Kaywood was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of
228,998.28, in accordance with the 1986 -87 Budget, were approved.
REQUEST FOR CLOSED SESSION: City Attorney Jack White requested a Closed
Session for the Agency to meet with its attorneys to discuss the case of
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency vs. Shab, Orange County Superior Court Case No.
40 -32 -37 under Government Code Section 54956.9A.
MOTION: Agency Member Pickler moved to recess into Closed Session. Agency
Member Overholt seconded the motion. Agency Member Kaywood was absent.
MOTION CARRIED.
161 /112: ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY VS. SHAB: Agency Member Roth moved
that the Agency authorize its General Counsel and the law firm of Oliver,
Stoever & Laskin , acting as Special Counsel, to compromise and settle the
case of the Anaheim Revelopment Agency vs. Shab in the amount of $800,000.
Agency Member Pickler seconded the motion. Agency Member Kaywood was absent.
MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT: Agency Member Bay moved to adjourn. Agency member Pickler
seconded the motion. Agency Member Kaywood was absent. MOTION CARRIED.
