Roberts EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Norman J. Priest Chairman Pro Tem Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 1:07 p.m. MINUTES: Approval of the minutes was deferred to the next regular meeting. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of $4,431.82, and $396,945.06 for Series "B" Bonds, in accordance with the 1981 -82 Budget, were approved. 161.121: CONDEMNATION OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ALPHA: Finding and determining the public interest and necessity for acquiring and authorizing the condemnation of certain real property located within Redevelopment Project Alpha and authorizing the law firm of Oliver, Stoever & Laskin to act as counsel pertaining to Eminent Domain proceedings (Easement for driveway purposes over 215 North Claudina Street). Executive Director of Community Development, Norman Priest, requested that consideration of the subject item be continued for one week because it required at least four votes. MOTION: Mrs. Kaywood moved to continue consideration of the subject condemnation for one week. Mr. Bay seconded the motion. Messrs. Overholt and Seymour were absent. MOTION CARRIED. 161.107: CONTRACT AWARD FOR DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE - CONTRACT NO. D82 -5: Mr. Bay moved to accept the low bid of Robert Taylor in the amount of $1,950, for demolition and site clearance of property located at 120 South Philadelphia Street (Contract No. D82 -5); and in the event low bidder fails to post required bonds or insurance, accept the second low bid of Hintz Wrecking Company, Inc., in the amount of $1,970, as recommended in memorandum dated February 23, 1982, from the Executive Director of Community Development. Refer to Resolution Book. RESOLUTION NO. ARA82 -9: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR DEMOLITION AND CLEARANCE OF CERTAIN AGENCY PROPERTIES. RECESS - CLOSED SESSION: Mr. Priest requested a closed session with action anticipated. Mrs. Kaywood moved to recess into Closed Session. Mr. Bay seconded the motion. Messrs. Overholt and Seymour were absent. MOTION CARRIED. (1:09 p.m.) AFTER RECESS: The Chairman Pro Tem called the meeting to order, all Agency Members being present with the exception of Messrs. Overholt and Seymour. (1:17 p.m.) 161.112: SETTLEMENT OF SUPERIOR COURT CASE 431 -15 -54 (LIEB): Mr. Roth moved to authorize the law firm of Oliver, Stoever & Laskin, Special Counsel, to make settlement of Superior Court Case #31 -15 -54 in the amount of $120,000 which shall be in full payment for interest claims, costs and all claims asserted in the related cross - complaint, and to prepare and file a Final Order of Condemnation. Mrs. Kaywood seconded the motion. Messrs. Overholt and Seymour were absent. MOTION CARRIED. ADJOURNMENT Mrs. Kaywood moved to adjourn. Mr. Bay seconded the motion. Messrs.
