MOTION CARRIED. 161.123: REVISED SCHEDULE, R?-TES OF COMPENSATION, KEYSER MARSTON ASSOCIATES, INC: A revised schedule of rates of compensation for Keyser Marston Associates, Inc., for land disposition consulting services, was submitted (continued from the meeting of August 10, 1982 - -see minutes that date). Agency Member Ben Bay referred to staff report dated August 17, 1982, and stated that the additional information supplied confirmed his feelings that, in his opinion, the requested increases in hourly rates for the consultant were in excess of the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The principal increase for the principle was 70 percent of the total use. The increase was from $72.50 an hour to $82.50 an hour, or a little over 12 percent. The CPI in 1981 was 9.7 percent and in the first quarter of 1982, 5.6 percent. When they received requests for dollar rate increases on call contracts, he was going to question any that were over the CPI for the past year. After further comments, he stated he wanted to record his "no" vote on the 12 percent increase on 70 percent of the use. He did not want to go back eight to ten years, but wanted to talk about the current contract renewable this year and the increases involved. Further discussion followed during which the Executive Director of Community Development Norman Priest explained that, had the consultant come in each year and requested the appropriate CPI, or if there was some sort of opener on the contract, the Agency would perhaps be paying more than 12 percent now. 82 -72 Anaheim Civic Center, ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ...
