Roberts EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Norman J. Priest Chairman Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 9:34 a.m. MINUTES: Agency Member Pickler moved to approve the minutes of the regular meetings held August 31 and September 7, 1982. Agency Member Kaywood seconded the motion. Agency Member Overholt abstained on the meeting of August 31, 1982, since he was not present. Agency Member Bay was absent. MOTION CARRIED. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of 7,858.89, in accordance with the 1982 -83 Budget, were approved. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS: On motion by Agency Member Pickler, seconded by Agency Member Overholt, the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda: 1. 161: Receiving and filing the Monthly Status Report for the month of August 1982. 2. 161.123: Authorizing Change Order No. 1 to an agreement with A -1 Land Clearing Company in the amount of $20,000, for basement removal work at 150, 204 and 214 -228 East Old Lincoln Avenue, bringing the original contract price to $48,300; and further, extending the contract completion time by nine working days, Contract No. D82 -10. 3. Amending the Rent Collection Policy to coincide with the City's collection procedure. Councilman Bay was absent. MOTION CARRIED. 161.121: CONDEMNATION HEARING To consider the acquisition of property owned by Fern D. Jackson, Trustee, and LaVerne B. Roquet, Trustee, generally located at 127 and 131 -135 West Broadway. Executive Director of Community Development Norman Priest explained that the item was one in which they had general agreement by the owners in terms of the overall price. The disagreement, however, was in the proper disposition of the proceeds as outlined in his memorandum dated September 17, 1982. The Chairman asked if anyone wished to speak on the proposed acquisition; there was no response. 82 -81 Anaheim Civic Center, ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY September 28, 1982, 9:30 A.M. Agency Member Roth offered Resolution No. ARA82 -51 for adoption, finding and determining the public interest and necessity for acquiring and authorizing the condemnation of the above certain real property and authorizing General Counsel and the law firm of Oliver, Stoever and Laskin to proceed with condemnation proceedings. Refer to Resolution Book. RESOLUTION NO. ARA82 -51: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FINDING AND DETERMINING THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY FOR ACQUIRING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. (JACKSON & ROQUET) Roll Call Vote: AYES: AGENCY MEMBERS: Kaywood, Pickler, Overholt and Roth NOES: AGENCY MEMBERS: None ABSENT: AGENCY MEMBERS: Bay The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA82 -51 duly passed and adopted. RECESS - CLOSED SESSION: Agency Member Roth moved to recess into Closed Session following the Housing Authority meeting. Agency Member Pickler --o seconded the motion. Agency Member Bay was absent. MOTION CARRIED. (9:41 a.m.) AFTER CLOSED SESSION: The Chairman called the meeting to order, all Agency Members being present with the exception of Agency Member Bay. (9:57 a.m.) 161.121: SETTLEMENT OF SUPERIOR COURT CASE NO. 30- 54 -87: Agency Member Roth moved that the Agency authorize the law firm of Oliver, Stoever & Laskin, Special Counsel to the Agency, to make settlement of Superior Court Case No. 30 -54 -87 in the amount of $77,000, plus interest at 7 percent per annum, and to prepare and file a Final Order of Condemnation. Agency Member Pickler seconded the motion. Agency Member Bay was absent. MOTION CARRIED. ADJOURNMENT: Agency Member Roth moved to adjourn. Agency Member Pickler seconded the motion.
