Priest Chairman Roth called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order at 9:50 a.m. MINUTES: Agency Member Kaywood moved to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held May 10, 1983. Agency Member Bay seconded the motion. Agency Members Pickler and Overholt were absent. MOTION CARRIED. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of 74,369.75, and 75,030.53 for Series "C" Bonds, in accordance with the 1982 -83 Budget, were approved. 161.158: PUBLIC HEARING - SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY: To consider the proposed sale of personal property consisting of one 3 H.P. 230 Air Compressor .__ and one Horizontal Tank, to David S. Collins in the amount of $50 and authorizing the Executive Director to execute documents relating thereto. Submitted was a report dated June 6, 1983, from the Executive Director of Community Development, Norman Priest, recommending approval of the subject sale. Chairman Roth asked if anyone wished to speak, either in favor or in opposition to the proposed sale; there being no response, he closed the public hearing. Agency Member Kaywood stated she was concerned relative to the cost of legal advertising to permit such a sale considering the small amount involved; Executive Director Norman Priest reported that the cost was $114.56. Agency Member Kaywood suggested that they contact their legislators regarding such matters, so that they could be apprised of the fact that in such instances the cost to local government in order to make the sale was beyond the cost of the item; Mr. Priest stated he would discuss the matter with legal counsel, since the issue was of a local nature. Agency Member Roth offered Resolution No. ARA83 -23 for adoption. Refer to Resolution Book. RESOLUTION NO. ARA83 -23: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY APPROVING THE SALE OF CERTAIN AGENCY -OWNED PERSONAL PROPERTY TO DAVID S. COLLINS. CONSENT CALENDAR ITEMS: On motion by Agency Member Bay, seconded by Agency Member Kaywood, the following actions were authorized in accordance with the reports and recommendations furnished each Agency Member and as listed on the Consent Calendar Agenda. Agency Member Bay offered Resolution No. ARA83 -24 for adoption. Refer to Resolution Book. 1. 161.128: Receiving and filing the Financial Statements dated April 30, 1983. 2. 161.107: RESOLUTION NO. ARA 83 -24: A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ACCEPTING A SEALED PROPOSAL AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR DEMOLITION AND CLEARANCE OF CERTAIN AGENCY PROPERTIES. (D83 -5, Hintz Wrecking Company, Inc., $53,620, for demolition and site clearance on various parcels on Clementine, Lincoln and Old Lincoln Avenues) 3. 161.137: Authorizing payment to Rollins Burdick Hunter as Broker of Record in the amount of $6,307 for the third installment of a three -year policy for public officials errors and omissions insurance coverage. The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA83 -24 duly passed and adopted. RECESS - CLOSED SESSION: Agency Member Roth moved to recess into Closed Session. Agency Member Kaywood seconded the motion. Agency Members Pickler and Overholt were absent. MOTION CARRIED. (9:55 a.m.) AFTER RECESS: The Chairman called the meeting to order, all Agency Members being present with the exception of Agency Member Overholt. (10:00 a.m.) 161.112: SETTLEMENT OF IMPROVEMENTS PERTAINING TO REALTY: Agency Member Roth moved to authorize the law firm of Oliver, Stoever and Laskin to make settlement of Improvements Pertaining to Realty, Superior Court Case 38 -93 -14 in the amount of $75,000 and to prepare and file a Stipulation Re Just Compensation for Improvements Pertaining to the Realty.
