Hopkins SECRETARY: Linda D. Roberts EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Norman J. Priest Chairman Seymour called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevel- ment Agency to order. MINUTES On motion by Mr. Roth, seconded by Mrs. Kaywood, minutes of naheim Redevelopment Agency regular meetings held October 9 and 16, 1979, were approved. MOTION CARRIED. FINANCIAL I amount of $1 approved. JD S AG ,631.7 CNST THE ANAHEI , in accordance wi the PMENT AGENCY in the 1979 -80 Budget, were 161.158: USE OF AGENCY PROPERTY BY CITY OF ANAHEIM 233 E. CHARTRES STREET At the request of Executive Director Norman Priest, proposed authorization of the use by the City of Anaheim of Agency -owned property located at 233 E. Chartres Street (former George Washington School property) was removed from the Agenda, since escrow closed this morning. 161.118: CLAIM AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY: On motion by Mrs. Kaywood, seconded by Mr. Roth, claim submitted by Pacific Telephone, Case No. H940 -621U, for damages to underground cables at the corner of Harbor and Chartres sustained purportedly as a result of work conducted by Redevelopment Agency employees, on or about September 7, 1979, was denied and referred to the Redevelop- ment Agency Staff. MOTION CARRIED. 161.107: CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 CONTRACT NO. D78 -4: In accordance with recommendation by the Executive Director, Mrs. Kaywood moved that Change Order No. 1, Contract No. D78 -4, for removal of under- ground concrete vault in connection with demolition of building at 101 -105 E. Lincoln Avenue, in the amount of $5,919.08, be approved, bringing the original contract price to $6,919.08, Economy Land Clearing and Wrecking, contractors. Mr. Overholt seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. 79 -131 ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, OCTOBER 30, 1979, 1:00P.M EXECUTIVE SESSION At the request of the Executive Director, Mrs. Kaywood moved to recess into Executive Session. Mr. Bay seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. (1:17 P.M.) AFTER RECESS Chairman Seymour reconvened the meeting at 1:30 P.M. 161.121: FINAL ORDER OF CONDEMNATION, SUPERIOR COURT CASE NO. 29- 71 -32 In accordance with recommendations by the Executive Director and the City Attorney, Mr. Seymour moved that the firm of Oliver, Stoever and Laskin, Special Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency, be authorized to settle condemnation in Superior Court Case No. 29 -71 -32 in an amount not to exceed $59,570, which includes interest of 7% per annum, Loss of Goodwill and loss of perishable chemicals, and to prepare and file the Final Order of Condemnation. Mrs. Kaywood seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. 161.121: FINAL ORDER OF CONDEMNATION, SUPERIOR COURT CASE NOS. 26 -34 -91 AND 26- 90 -19 In accordance with recommendations by the Executive Director and the City Attorney, Mr. Seymour moved that the firm of Oliver, Stoever and Laskin, Special Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency, be authorized to settle condemnation in Superior Court Cases Nos. 26 -34 -91 and 26 -90 -19 in an amount not to exceed $71,000,which includes interest of 7% per annum, plus any accrued costs, and to prepare and file the Final Order of Condemnation. Mr. Overholt seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. 161.121: FINAL ORDER OF CONDEMNATION, SUPERIOR COURT CASE NO. 27- 26 -86 In accordance with recommendations by the Executive Director and the City Attorney, Mr. Seymour moved that the firm of Oliver, Stoever and Laskin, Special Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency, be authorized to settle condemnation in Superior Court Case No. 27 -26 -86 in an amount not to exceed $1,500, partial settlement for Loss of Goodwill, and to prepare and file the Final Order of Condemnation. Mr. Bay seconded the motion. MOTION CARRIED. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, Mr. Bay moved to adjourn.
