Hopkins SECRETARY: Linda D. Roberts EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Norman J. Priest Chairman Thom called the regular meeting of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency to order. MINUTES Approval of the minutes for the regular meeting held November 22, 1977 was deferred one week. FINANCIAL DEMANDS AGAINST THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY in the amount of $184,601.80, in accordance with the 1977 -78 Budget, were approved. 161.121: HEARING - PROPERTY CONDEMNATION (125 & 206 SOUTH CLAUDINA): Mr. Priest recommended that the Agency find and determine the public interest and necessity for acquiring and authorizing the condemnation of certain real property within the Redevelopment Project Area generally located at 125 and 206 South Claudina Street. Subject'ptoperty is needed for the Civic Center project. He noted that final offer of negotiated settlement had been rejected by the property owner and settlement through negotiation is unlikely. Mr. Priest further advised that the property owner had been notified of this hearing. The Chairman asked if the property owner or agent was present and wished to be heard. There being no response, Mr. Thom offered Resolu- tion No. ARA77 -88. RESOLUTION NO. ARA77 -88 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FINDING AND DETERMINING THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY FOR ACQUIRING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. (HEIL & STOOKEY) 77 -134 ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - November 29, 1977 - 1:00 P.M. Prior to a vote being taken, the Executive Director elaborated on the appraisal process procedure in answer to concern expressed by Mr. Kott. A vote was taken on the foregoing Resolution. AGENCY MEMBERS: ABSENT: AGENCY MEMBERS: Kaywood, Kott, Roth and Thom None . - Seymour The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA77 -89 duly passed and adopted. 77 -135 ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - November 29, 1977 - 1:00 P.M. 161.121: HEARING - PROPERTY CONDEMNATION (300 WEST LINCOLN AVENUE) Mr. Priest recommended that the Agency find and determine the public interest and necessity for acquiring and authorizing the condemnation of certain real property within the Redevelopment Project Area generally located at 300 West Lincoln Avenue. Subject property is needed for the widening of Clementine Street. He noted that the property owner is in agreement as to the value, however, the building has various tenants with leasehold interests and efforts to negotiate settlement with the lessees have been rejected. Mr. Priest further advised that the property owner had been notified of this hearing. The Chairman asked if the property owner or agent was present and wished to be heard. There being no response, Mrs. Kaywood offered Resolution No. ARA77 -90. RESOLUTION NO. AR.A77 -90 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FINDING AND DETERMINING THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY FOR ACQUIRING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA. Subject property is needed for the realignment of Lincoln Avenue and the Anaheim Boulevard widen- ing. He noted that final offer of negotiated settlement had been rejected by the property owner and settlement through negotiation is unlikely. (FISHER) Roll Call Vote: AYES: AGENCY MEMBERS: Kaywood, Kott, Roth and Thom NOES: AGENCY MEMBERS: None ABSENT: AGENCY MEMBERS: Seymour The Chairman declared Resolution No. ARA77 -92 duly passed and adopted. 77 -137 ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY - November 29, 1977 - 1:00 P.M. 161.121: HEARING - PROPERTY CONDEMNATION (124 NORTH ANAHEIM BOULE- VARD) Mr. Priest recommended that the Agency find and determine the public interest and necessity for acquiring and authorizing the condemnation of certain improvements pertaining to The Realty (fix- tures and equipment) and any interest in that certain real property within the Redevelopment Project Area generally located at 124 North Anaheim Boulevard. Subject property is needed for the widening of Anaheim Boulevard and a portion for off -site parking. He noted that the Agency owns the real property, however, final offer of negotiated settlement to the tenant for his improvements and any interest in the real property he may have, had been rejected and settlement through negotiation is unlikely. Mr. Priest further advised that the property owner had been notified of this hearing. The Chairman asked if the property owner or agent was present and wished to be heard. There being no response, Mrs. Kaywood offered Resolution No. ARA77 -93. RESOLUTION NO. ARA77 -93 A- RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FINDING AND DETERMINING THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY FOR ACQUIRING AND AUTHORIZING THE CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA.
