MEMBERS OF THE URBAN RENEWAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE PRESENT: Mr. Harry I. Horn, Chairman. Mr. Morris Martinet, Jr. Mr. James Morris Mr. Laurence Henderson Meeting of the Redevelopment Agency was ordered by the City Council, February 23, 1465, at the request of the Urban Renewal Committee. In the absence of Chairman Chandler, Mr. Dutton, Acting Chairman, called the meeting to order. MINUTES: Minutes of the meeting held July 21, 1964 and September 15, 1964 were approved on motion by Mr. Pebley, seconded by Mr. Krein. MOTION CARRIED. ANAHEIM CENTER CITY STUDY - STEP I TECHNICAL REPORT Mr. Horn submitted Step I Technical'Report and advised Oat upon its acceptance, work can proceed on Step II, being a detailed plan for the downtown area. Mr. Horn then introduced Mr. Frank Hotchkiss, Director of Planning, and Mr. Ralph Morton of Victor Gruen Associates. Mr. Hotchkiss explained that Step I contained a summary of the foundation studies that preceded this study; a summary of their research and analysis and a summary of Step I planning, or exploratory planning, showing alterna- tives considered as well as recommended schemes which, in their opinion, should now be detailed in the subsequent Step II. Also included in the report were areas recommended for special studies. Mr. Hotchkiss thereupon reviewed the high points of the plan; the major features and major considerations instrumental in their conclusions and recommendations. Discussion was held concerning said report and the agency requested the original illustrations be made available for further study. It was deter- mined that sufficient time had not been available to thoroughly study the technical report. At the conclusion of the discussion, Mr. Krein moved that the meeting be adjourned to March 16, 1965, 10:00 A.M., for further consideration of said report. Mr. Pebley seconded the motion.
