A ISOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION ACTING AS THE ANAHEIM HOUSING
AUTHORITY APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT FOR THE EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO
NEGOTIATE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY.
(Shapell Government Housing, Inc.)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Housing Authority is charged with
the responsibility of providing a broad range of housing for per-
sons of low income; and
WHEREAS, Shapell Government Housing, Inc., is proposing
to construct 100 units of housing for senior citizens under Section
8 New Construction Assistance Grants under the Housing and Commun-
ity Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared whereby Shapell
Government Housing, Inc. would have the exclusive right to develop
a certain portion of Project Alpha with senior citizens housing;
and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said agreement are
acceptable to the Anaheim Housing Authority; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Anaheim
Housing Authority to enter into said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and con-
ditions of said exclusive right to negotiate be, and they are
hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary
of the Community Development Commission be, and they are hereby,
authorized and directed to execute said agreement on behalf of
the Anaheim Housing Authority.
