A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY APPROVING AN INITIAL STUDY AND FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT A SUBSEQUENT `ENVIRON-
MENTAL IMPACT REPORT NEED NOT BE PREPARED FOR
THE PROPOSED SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
AND THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH REAL
PROPERTY IN THE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ALPHA
PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS, on November 23, 1976, the Community Redevel-
opment Commission of the City of Anaheim (the "Commission ")
together with the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency ")
had certified that the Final Subsequent Environmental Impact
Report for the Second Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan for
Redevelopment Project Alpha was prepared and completed in
compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of
1970 "CEQA ") and State Guidelines and Agency Procedures for
the implementation thereof; and
WHEREAS, in order to implement the Redevelopment
Plan, as amended, the Agency proposes to enter into a "Parti-
cipation Agreement" with Pacific Telephone and Telegraph
Company ( "Participants ") providing for the sale and develop-
ment of certain real property (the "Property ") in the Project;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Agency's duly adopted
Procedures for the implementation of CEQA and the Guidelines
of the California Resources Agency, the Agency staff has pre-
pared an Initial Study of Environmental Impact ( "Initial Study ")
with respect to said proposed sale and development of the
Property; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has reviewed and considered the
findings set forth in said.Initial Study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ANAHEIM
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Agency hereby approves and adopts the Initial
Study with respect to the proposed Participation Agreement
between the Agency and Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company.
2. The Agency hereby certifies that the information
contained in the Initial Study has been reviewed and considered
by the members of the Agency.
3. The Agency hereby finds and determines as follows:
(1) No substantial changes are proposed in the
Redevelopment Project, or with respect to the circumstances
under which the Project is to be undertaken, which. will re-
quire major revisions in the Environmental Impact Reports
previously adopted for the Project due to the involvement of
new environmental impacts not covered in said previous Environ-
mental Impact Reports;
(2) No Subsequent or Supplement to EIR is necessary
or required; and
(3) The proposed action will have no significant
effect on the environment, except as identified and considered
in the previous EIRs.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency this 9th day of June, 1981.
