A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY ACCEPTI14G A SEALED PROPOSAL AND
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LO1%TEST RESPON-
SIBLE BIDDER FOR THE OILING OF CLEARED
AGENCY PROPERTY. (DESIGNATED AS CONTRACT
NO. D81 -8)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did solicit
and receive sealed proposals for the oiling of certain Agency
property, to wit:
A vacant parcel of land located between Helena Street
and Lemon Street, nortn of Lincoln Avenue, designated
as Contract No. D81 -8,
in accordance with the specifications on file in the Office of
the Secretary of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did solicit
sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, in-
cluding power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary
to co- I -plete in a good and workmanlike manner, the oiling of Agency
parcel hereinabove more particularly mentioned and described,
and which notice did state and declare that pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the AnaheiM
Redevelopment Agency had ascertained the prevailing rate of
wades in the locality in which this type of labor is to be per-
formed for each craft or type of worknnan or mechanic needed to
execute the contract, and which wage scale is on file in the
Office of the Secretary of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Agency representative did receive the
follo. sealed proposal on the 14tn day of September ,
19 81 , in response to the solicitation aforesaid inviting sealed
proposals, to wit:

WHEREAS, the Agency representative did thereupon ex-
mine and tabulate said sealed proposal; and did report to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency the result of his examination and
tabulations; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that
the sealed proposal submitted by R. J. NOBLE COMPANY, 15505 Eas
Lincoln Avenue, Orange, California 92666 is the lowest
responsible proposal submitted for the furnishing of all plant,
labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and.
transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing
all work necessary to complete in a good and workmanlike manner
in strict accordance with the specifications therefor on file
in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency, the ailing of an
AGENCY kparcelhereinabove mentioned and described, together with
the appurtenances thereto, and as specified in the sn.l'.icitation
inviting sealed proposals, _ tnat said proposal.of said above -
named bidder should be accented and a contract awarded to said
bidder in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that
the above - :mentioned sealed proposal is the lowest responsible
proposal received and that the person- firm or corporation
submitting said proposal is a responsible person, firm or cor-
poration and that the proposal submitted is the best suited and
fitted for the oiling of an Agency parcel'of land, to be undertaken.
NOGG, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency that the sealed proposal submitted by said
contractor for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, in-
cluding power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary
to complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accord—
ance with the specifications therefor on file in the Office of
the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and the

solicitation inviting sealed proposals, the oiling of an Agegcs�r parcel
above more particularly mentioned and described, to,Fether wi ,
the appurtenances thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted,
and that a contract for the completion of said oiling of Agency
property _ be, and the same is hereby, awarded to -1 — said ato'�e-
named bidder.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bicker
or bidders upon each contract awarded as hereinabove set forth,
shall be, and they are hereby, required to execute a contract
in the required form witn the Ananeim Redevelopment Agency upon the
terms and conditions speci.f.ied.in the solicitation inviting sealed
proposals and the proposal submitted by said. successful bird °r
or bidders and in accordance with the specifications for said
Improvement hereinabove described., and in accordance :rith the
terms, conditions and provisions of this resolution, and that
said successful bidder or bidders to whom each contract is
awarded shall be required to furnish a surety bond in the amount
of FOUR THOUSAND SEVENTY DOLLARS ($4,070.00)
for all labor, materials and equipment to be furnished and per-
formed, as set forth in the sealed proposal submitted by said
bidder for the Improvement, together with.the appurtenances
thereto or such portion thereof as is covered by said contract,
as security for the faithful performance of said contract, and
a separate surety bond in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND SEVENTY
DOLLARS ($4,070 as security for the
payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing material
for said Improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said successful bidder or
bidders be, and they are hereby, required to furnish to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency in companies satisfactory to the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, public liability, property damage,
compensation and other insurance in the amounts and for the
purpose set �ort_n. and specified in solicitation inviting sealed
proposals, and subject to the approval of the General Counsel of
the Agency as to form and sufficiency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary
of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency be, and they are hereby,
authorized and directed to make, execute and enter into, for and
on behalf of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency, a written contract
with uaid successful bidder or bidders for the furnishing of all
plan labor, materials and equipment and performing all work,
as hereinabove more particularly described for the completion of
said oiling of Agency parcel hereinabove described upon the
terms and conditions as specified in the solicitation inviting sealed
proposals, the specifications, and all addenda thereto, and all
modifications incorporated therein prior to the date of t-e open -
ing of bids, on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency and in strict accordance with the terms,
conditions and provisions of this resolution, and in accordance
with al.l of the contract documents herein specified.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
Anaheim Redevelopment Agency this 22nd day of September, 1981.
