FOR DE i T IO.N A1 CLEARANCE OF CERTAIN AGE,ICY PiROPE'RTIES. (D79 -7) WHEHEAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency did solicit and receive sealed proposals for demolition and site clearance of the following Agency properties, to wit: STREET ADDRESS AGENCY BLOCK /PARCEL 234 East Lincoln Avenue 20/3 238 East Lincoln Avenue 20/3 240 East Lincoln Avenue 20/4 242 East Lincoln Avenue 20/4 in accordance with the specifications on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim -l�edevelopment Agency did solicit sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all wore necessary to complete in a good and workmanlike manner, the demolition and clearance here - inabove more particularly mentioned and described, and which notice did state and declare that pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency had ascer- tained the prevailing rate of wages in the locality in which this type of labor is to be performed for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract, and which wage scale is on file in the Offices of the Secretary of the Agency; and WHEREAS, the Agency representative did receive the follow- ing sealed proposals on the 6th day of February, 1979, in response to the notice aforesaid inviting sealed proposals, to wit: The Wizard of Wrecking ::1,200.00 (payable to Agency) Viking Equipment Corp. P5,800.00 (cost to Agency) WHEREAS, the Agency representative did thereupon examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency the result of his examination and tabulation; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that the sealed proposal submitted by The Wizard of Wrecking, 2540 West Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California 92801, is the lowest responsi- ble proposal submitted for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing all work necessary -1- to complete in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Agency, the demolition and clearance hereinabove mentioned and described, together with the appurtenances thereto, and as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and that said proposal of said above -named bidder should be accepted and a contract awarded to said bidder in accordance therewith; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency finds that the above - mentioned sealed proposal is the lowest responsible proposal received and that the person, firm or corporation submitting said proposal is a responsible person, firm or corporation. and that the proposal submitted is the best suited and fitted for the demolition and clearance to be undertaken. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the I.naheim redevelop - ment Agency that the sealed proposal submitted by said contractor for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing; all work necessary to complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the speci- fications therefor on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and the notice inviting sealed pro- posals, the demolition and clearance hereinabove more particularly mentioned and described, together with the appurtenances thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract for the completion of said demolition and clearance be, and the same is hereby, awarded to the said above - named bidder. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said successful bidder or bidders be, and they are hereby, required to furnish to the °,naheirn Redevelopment Agency in companies satisfactory to the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency public liability, property damage, compensa- tion, and other insurance in the amounts and for the purposes set forth and specified in the notice inviting; sealed proposals, and subject to the approval of the General Counsel of the Agency as to form and sufficiency. BE IT FURT:ER =RESOLVED that the Chairman and Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency be, and they are hereby, auth- orized and directed to make, execute and enter into, for and on behalf of the Anaheim 'Redevelopment Agency, a Tviritten contract with said successful bidder or bidders for the furnishing of all plant, labor, materials, and. equipment and performing all wor_., as hereinabove more particularly described for the completion of said demolition and clearance hereinabove describe.: upon the terms and conditions as specified in the notice inviting; sealed p_ronosa.ls, the specifications, and all addenda thereto, and all modifications incorporated therein prior to the date of the opening of bids, on file in the Office of the Secretary of the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and in strict accordance with the terms, conditions and provisions of this resolution, and in accordance with all of the contract documents herein specified. -2- THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency this 6th day of March, 1979.
