A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR PROCESSING REQUESTS TO
PURCHASE AGENCY PERSONAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency is authorized
by Section 33430(a) of the Health and Safety Code to dispose of
personal property; and
WHEREAS, Section 33431 of the Health and Safety Code
further requires that the sale of such property be made either
through public bidding or after a public hearing, notice of which
must be published in a newspaper of general circulation; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to establish a fee for proces-
sing requests to purchase Agency -owned personal property which is
to be sold after a public hearing and not pursuant to public
bidding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency does hereby establish a fee in the amount of
$50.00 plus the actual cost to the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency of
the cost of publication of the notice of public hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant shall pay, at
the time of requesting to purchase Agency property, the sum of
$50.00 plus a deposit for the estimated cost of publication.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon completion of publica-
tion, the Agency shall refund to the depositor any portion of the
deposit not needed to pay for the actual cost of publication.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in the event the deposit is
insufficient to reimburse the Agency for the actual cost of publi-
cation, any excess cost shall be an obligation of the applicant
and the Executive Director is directed to charge the applicant
therefor.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
this 30th day of August, 1983.
