A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF PROPOSED
STATEMENT OF EXISTING OBLIGATIONS AND
-- STATEMENT OF EXISTING PROGRAMS FOR
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ALPHA ADOPTED BEFORE
1977 TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; AND AUTHORIZING A
PUBLIC HEARING ON SUCH STATEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, prior
to January 1, 1977, adopted the Redevelopment Plan for
Redevelopment Project Alpha; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency ")
is engaged in activities necessary and appropriate to carry out
such Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33334.6 of the California
Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000
et seq.), the Agency shall deposit into the Low and Moderate
Income Housing Fund for such Redevelopment Project in fiscal year
1985 -1986 and each fiscal year thereafter not less than twenty
percent (20 %) of the tax increment funds allocated to the Agency
for such Project in the applicable fiscal year, except as
necessary to pay for existing obligations and /or existing
projects, or activities pertaining to such Project; and
WHEREAS, the Agency, pursuant to subdivision (f) of
Section 33334.6 of the Community Redevelopment Law, has prepared a
proposed Statement of Existing Obligations and a proposed
Statement of Existing Programs for such Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the Agency shall hold a public hearing to
consider such proposed Statements prior to adoption thereof by
resolution; and
WHEREAS, such proposed Statements shall be submitted to
the City Council of the City of Anaheim and the California
Department of Housing and Community Development prior to giving
notice of the public hearing thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency as follows:
1. The Executive Director (or his designee) is hereby
authorized and directed to submit the proposed Statement of
Existing Obligations and Statement of Existing Programs for
Redevelopment Project Alpha to the City Council of the City of
Anaheim and the California Department of Housing and Community
Development.
2. The Agency hereby authorizes a public hearing on the
proposed Statement of Existing Obligations and Statement of
Existing Programs for such Redevelopment Project and hereby
further authorizes the Executive Director (or his designee) to
establish the date, time and place therefor.
3. The Executive Director (or his designee) shall publish
and mail notice of public hearing on the proposed Statement of
Existing Obligations and Statement of Existing Programs for such
Redevelopment Project, in the manner required and established by
law.
