AHA-1985-009RESOLUTION NO AHA 85 -9 A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY APROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS UNDER SECTION 8 OF TITLE II OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 WHEREAS, The City of Anaheim has adopted a Housing Assistance Plan, which plan is a part of the City of Anaheim's application for Title I Com- munity Development Block Grants under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and WHEREAS, said Housing Assistance Plan reflects, as a 3 -year goal, 1,800 units of Existing housing to be funded under Section 8 of Title II of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and WHEREAS, there are 1,557 units of Existing housing remaining to be funded under Section 8 to achieve its annual goal of the Housing Assistance Plan for the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has desig- nated 34 Housing Vouchers under the Section 8 Voucher Program for use in the "Rental Rehabilitation Grant Program" for the Anaheim Housing Authority; and WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has re- quested that this application for Section 8 Voucher units include these 34 Housing Vouchers be specially designated for "Rental Rehabilitation Grant Pro- gram." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim Housing Authority does approve the submission of an application for 34 Housing Vouchers to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding under Section 8 of Title II and authorizing the Executive Director to apply for the maximum unit allocation advertised by the Department of Housing and Urban Development with- in this limit.
