A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ACQUIRE
REAL PROPERTY ON BEHALF OF THE ANAHEIM
ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Housing Authority ( "Authority ") is
in the process of acquiring properties for its purposes; and
WHEREAS, in order to acquire and assemble sites, it is
necessary for the Authority to obtain appraisals of the fair
market value of properties, to establish just compensation for
such properties and to execute various legal instruments for the
acquisition thereof; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the day -to -day efforts in
obtaining properties, it is desirable to authorize the Executive
Director to obtain appraisals of properties which may be acquired
by Authority and to take such steps as are necessary for the
acquisition of sites for the proposed developments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Housing
Authority as follows:
1. That the Executive Director be, and he is hereby,
authorized to proceed with the acquisition of real property for
Authority purposes.
2. That the Executive Director be, and he is hereby,
authorized to:
a. Retain the services of appraisers to appraise
properties to be acquired by the Authority.
b. Approve, after thorough review and consultation with
appropriate staff members, all such appraisals on behalf of the
Authority.
C. Establish just compensation to be paid in the
acquisition of real property on the basis of the aforesaid
approved appraisals and execute, on behalf of the Authority,
offers to purchase properties.
d. Accept and execute, on behalf of the Authority,
legal documents required in the acquisition process provided,
however, that the consideration to be paid by the Authority shall
not exceed the amount of just compensation established in the
preceding Paragraph "c" and provided further, however, that deeds
shall be presented to the Authority for acceptance.
3. The Executive Director, during any absence of the
Executive Director, is authorized to delegate any of the powers
authorized by this resolution to a deputy of the Executive
Director.
