A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY
APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS UNDER SECTION 8
OF TITLE II OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has adopted a Housing Assistance
Plan, which plan is a part of the City of Anaheim's application for Title
I Community Development Block Grants under the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, said Housing Assistance Plan reflects, as a 3 -year
goal, 2,000 units of Existing housing to be funded under Section 8 of
Title II of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, there are 1,758 units of Existing housing remaining to
be funded under Section 8 to achieve its annual goal of the Housing
Assistance Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has
designated Housing Vouchers Program under the Section 8 Voucher Program;
and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has
units available to be funded under the Section 8 Voucher Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim Housing
Authority does approve the submission of an application for 300 Housing
Vouchers to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding
under Section 8 of Title II and authorizing the Executive Director to
accept the maximum unit allocation granted by the Department of Housing
and Urban Development should additional funds become available within
limits of the HAP goals.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the Anaheim
Housing Authority this 1st day of September, 1987
