RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY
(I) AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION
TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR FUNDING
UNDER THE CALHOME PROGRAM, (II) IF SELECTED
FOR SUCH FUNDING, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A STANDARD AGREEMENT, ANY AMENDMENTS
THERETO AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
TO PARTICH'ATE IN THE CALHOME PROGRAM, AND (III)
IF SELECTED FOR SUCH FUNDING, AMENDING THE
BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-08 ACCORDINGLY
WHEREAS, the California Department of Housing and Community Development
("HCD") has issued a Notice of Funding Availability dated February 13, 2007 ("NOFA") for the
CalHome program established by Chapter 84, Statutes of 2000 (SB 1656 Alarcon), and codified
in Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 59650) of Part 2 of Division 31 of the Health and Safety
Code (the "Statute").
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Statute, HCD is authorized to approve funding. allocations
utilizing monies made available by the State Legislature to the CalHome program, subject to the
terms and conditions of the Statute and the CalHome Program Regulations adopted by HCD; and
WHEREAS, funding made available under the NOFA ("CalHome Program Funding")
could be used to provide, among other things, down payment assistance to first time homebuyers
and assistance to owner-occupied rehabilitation projects in Anaheim with household incomes that
do not exceed eighty percent (80%) of area median income; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Housing Authority (the "Authority") desires to submit an
application to HCD for CalHome Program Funding to be used to provide Three Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($300,000} in down payment assistance to first time homebuyers and Three
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) in assistance to owner-occupied rehabilitation projects in
Anaheim with household incomes that do not exceed eighty percent (80%) of area median
income (the "Application").
NOW, THEREFORE, THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE ANAHEIM
HOUSING AUTHORITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Application for Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000) of CalHome
Program Funding is hereby approved.
2. The Executive Director, or her designee, is hereby authorized and directed to execute
and submit the Application to HCD.
3. The Executive Director, or her designee, is hereby authorized and directed, if the
Authority is selected by HCD to receive CalHome Program Funding, to take such other actions
as are consistent with the Application, including the execution of a Standard Agreement and all
documents required by HCD for participation in the CalHome Program.
4. Contingent upon the award and receipt of CalHome Program Funding, the annual
budget of the Authority shall be amended by increasing the appropriations and authorized
expenditures in the amount equal to the amount of the CalHome Program Funding received by
the Authority.

BY THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE ANAHEIM HOUSING AUTHORITY THIS
