Golf 2010/01/28GOLF COMMISSION MINUTES January 28, 2010 — 5:00 p.m. Anaheim Hills Golf Course — Clubhouse Board Room COMMISSIONERS PRESENT COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: CITY STAFF PRESENT: VALLEY CREST ABSENT: CALL TO ORDER Vice Chairman Don Heinbuch Commissioner Patty Gaby Commissioner John McCulloch Chairman Skip Keys Commissioner Bud Schultz Michael Lautenbach, Dave Johansen, Bob Johns, and Eleanor Granflor Kevin Neal, Regional Golf Course Superintendent Vice Chairman Heinbuch called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. PUBLIC COMMENTS None. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Commissioner Gaby made a Motion to approve the December 3, 2009 Minutes. Motion was seconded by Commissioner McCulloch. Motion passed. ACTIVITY REPORTS A. Golf Superintendent Michael Lautenbach presented his report and answered questions. Michael Lautenbach stated the following: • Installation of the new point -of -sale software, provided by Active Network, will be completed by Friday, January 29, 2010. The new system will go live on Monday, February 1, 2010. • The customer satisfaction survey administered by the National Golf Foundation for both golf courses will continue through January 31, 2010. The results will be presented at the March or April commission meeting. • Golf staff continues to work with the food & beverage contractor at Anaheim Hills Golf Course on an Event Coordinator Open House on April 19, 2010. • The 40 -foot fence installation at Dad Miller Golf Course is complete. Renovation of the 10 tee box will be completed as weather permits. Michael Lautenbach explained the details of "The Club at Anaheim Hills" membership program for Anaheim Hills Golf Course which will be introduced to the public shortly. Commissioner Gaby asked about the cost to advertise on the GPS systems at Anaheim Hills Golf Course. Michael Lautenbach stated cost varies depending on the length of exposure time. Golf Course Superintendent Dave Johansen presented details in regards to flooding at Dad Miller Golf Course. C. Director of Golf Bob Johns stated Golf Shop staff is currently training on the new point -of -sale system. FINANCIAL REPORT Michael Lautenbach stated rounds increased in November and December due to good weather. OLD BUSINESS - None to report. NEW BUSINESS - None to report. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner McCulloch made a Motion, seconded by Commissioner Gaby, to adjourn the meeting to February 25, 2010 at 5:00 p.m., at Anaheim Hills Golf Course, Clubhouse Board Room. The Motion passed. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
