AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AIIAHEIII ADDING
SECTIONS 1.04.400, 1.04.410, 1.04.420,
1.04.430 and 1.04.440 TO TITLE 1, CHAPTER
1.04 OF THE ANAHEI''i MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, Section 900 of the City Charter of the City
of Anaheim authorized the City Council to establish such advisory
boards and commissions as tiie City Council may determine to be
necessary; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for an advisory board to advise
the City Council on matters relating to City beautification; and
WHEREAS, an organization known as Anaheim Beautiful has
heretofore been organized and established, which organization can
fulfill the needs and purposes of such an advisory board.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF 7, ,IE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Sections 1.04.400, 1.04.410, 1.04.420, 1.04.430 and
1.04.440 be, and the same are hereby, added to Title 1, Chapter
1.04 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows:
"1.04.400 ANAHEITI BEAUTIFUL ADVISORY BOARD
There is hereby established, pur-
suant to Section 900 of the Charter of the City of
Anaheim an advisory body which shall be called the
Anaheim Beautiful (hereinafter "board").
1.04.410 PURPOSE AND DUTIES
Said board shall advise the City
Council on all clatters relating to City beautification
and upon such other matters as may be specifically re-
ferred to said board by the City Council.
1.0 4.4 2 0 BOARD i'IEIZBERS
The board members holding office
when this ordinance takes effect shall continue to
hold office thereafter until their successors shall
be duly appointed as provided herein. All successor
board members shall be selected and recommended by
Anaheim Beautiful subject to the approval of the City
Council.

1.04.430 CONTRIBUTIONS ,tID :�IPENDITUI S
All contributions made to, or
received by, Anaheim Beautiful shall be deemed con-
tributions to the City of Anaheiz�l. All funds so
-- received shall be used exclusively for pudic pur-
poses by Anaheim Beautiful and all expenditures
from said funds shall be subject to the approval of
the City Council.
1.04.440 ORGANIZATIOid
Except as otherwise specified
herein, the organization, terms of office, purposes,
objectives and activities of Anaheim Beautiful shall
be as determined by said board subject to the review
and approval of the City Council."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY.
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby declares
that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this chap-
ter of the Code, hereby adopted, be declared for any reason to be
invalid, it is the intent of the Council that it would have passed
all other portions of this chapter independent of the elimination
herefrom of any such portion as may be declared invalid.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (3.0) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
